This was our home for 20 years and our friends and family are here. We want to be close to the hospital, shopping and other facilities as well as the close proximity to Halifax and the airport. We enjoy the growth in Bridgewater as well as being so close to the ocean and the Lahave River.
Why now?
We wanted to downsize so we can travel and be independent and not tied down to our home and the maintenance anymore. We wanted to make this move while we are both in good health and able to enjoy our freedom. Mr. Nodding said, “I was afraid if something happened to me, she would have to deal with selling the house all on her own.”
Why Rent?
We wanted to capitalize on selling our home by freeing up money to travel and enjoy life. We no longer pay property taxes, home owners insurance or for repairs. We just want to be able to turn the key, lock the door and leave with no worries.
Why South Ridge?
We see ourselves growing old here; it’s our “last stop”. These are the largest units we’ve looked at giving us the space and atmosphere we wanted. The residents here are the same age as us, they have the same interests as us, and we get to enjoy this quality of life with the benefit of a non-smoking, no kids, no pets and very quiet environment. We feel safe here with all the features in place such as sprinklers, fire alarms and a security system and with underground parking protecting our privacy.
